Palgrave has released Relating Worlds of Racism as part of their response to the Black Lives Matter movement

Palgrave has released Relating Worlds of Racism. Dehumanisation, Belonging, and the Normativity of European Whiteness (2019, edited by Philomena Essed et al) as part of their response to the Black Lives Matter movement. My chapter ”The Emergence of Race as a Social Category in Northern Europe” can be found on pages 357-381. Call for papers

Call for Papers for the 20th Nordic Migration Research conference & 17th ETMU conference (12 ̶ 14 August, 2020, University of Helsinki, Finland) has now been published. See the conference website. Keynote speakers: professors Gloria Wekker, Eduardo Bonilla-Silva, and Anders Neergaard, and Marja Helander, who is a Sámi photographer, video artist and film-maker.

We are now looking for papers to our workshop Museums and knowledge production in increasingly diversifying societies (workshop number 18). Organizers: Anna Rastas, Tampere University and Leila Koivunen, University of Turku.
